Tribal Academic Bridge Program

The Tribal College Academic Bridge Program (TCAB) offers an educational opportunity for all Veterans attending Tribal Colleges located on Montana's seven reservations. TCAB provides up to $360 in tuition assistance for veterans to attend a tribal college for one semester.  Tuition Assistance is paid and processed through your Tribal Financial Aid Office and not to you individually.

Veterans may qualify for additional tuition assistance in the quarter or semester in which they are graduating, if they have shown satisfactory progress towards degree completion and have demonstrated academic excellence.  Eligible veterans enrolled in TCAB may receive VA benefits based on the number of credits they are taking.

Veterans participating in the TCAB program are eligible to apply for an Academic Bridge Scholarship.  To be eligible, veterans must have completed a degree at their tribal college and have been accepted for enrollment at a 4 year college or university.  To apply, veterans must contact the MSU-Northern Center for VETS Office, or request a scholarship application by calling our office.  Scholarships are awarded only once during the first semester of enrollment.  Scholarships are for $250.
