Veterans' Upward Bound in Billings

Veterans Upward Bound has proudly served veterans in Billings since 1992. Located on the MSU Billings campus, this location provides a supportive environment for veterans to strengthen their academic skills and prepare for postsecondary success.


Veterans Upward Bound provides a variety of supportive services designed to help veterans succeed in their educational and career goals, including:

    • Assistance with college admissions, financial aid applications, and VA education benefits
    •  Career exploration and planning
    •  Academic advising and mentoring
    •  Referrals to community resources and support services
    •  Tutoring and one-on-one academic support
    •  Workshops on study skills, time management, and goal setting
    •  Free refurbished laptop program
    • A range of in-person or live-online classes
    • VA work-study opportunities for enrolled college students

When visiting our Billings office, please use the reserved VUB parking spot located between Cisel Hall and the parking garage.  If the reserved space is occupied, paid parking is available adjacent to North 27th Street.  Please note that parking in unauthorized areas may result in a citation or fine outside of VUB’s control.
