VUB Montana prepared me to return to school and complete a degree in a field that I am passionate about. I earned a BS, Magna Cum Laude, in Human Services Counseling with a minor in Gambling Counseling. VUB experience paved the way.
VUB has been instrumental in my pursuit of a degree and would not be where I am without them.
VUB helped me get back up to speed in studies to prepare for college life after leaving the military and getting my mindset to focus on education and studies once more. As I was going through school, VUB was their if I had questions or needed help, it was a nice experience.
My tutor for my on-line statistics was absolutely amazing. We met in person, on-line etc. He helped me get through one of the toughest classes of my career. He brought things down to my level.
I have had an excellent experience with VUB. Without VUB I would have likely not attended college again this late in life. VUB provided a prep program which helped me prepare for my first semester back to school after almost 20 years. Additionally, the staff introduced me to other veteran organizations on campus which informed me of a tuition waiver for my course of study.
I found Veterans Upward Bound to be extremely helpful in honing my academic skills as well as preparing me emotionally to attend college at an age where most attendees are of younger generations. VUB has and continues to help me navigate the pressures and deadlines that I am up against as a veteran and an adult learner.
