Computer Laptop Program

Veterans Upward Bound offers laptops to eligible participants, depending on inventory available from our third-party vendor. These devices are gently used, carefully evaluated, and restored to provide reliable performance.

After purchasing laptops from our vendor, the VUB team:

  • Reviews each device
  • Performs a full factory reset
  • Ensures functionality and readiness for student use

    • The result is a laptop in like-new condition, similar to opening a device from a retail store. Please note: Some devices may have minor cosmetic blemishes or limited functionality due to age or prior use.

    Device Availability

  • Windows-based laptops are most commonly available
  • Apple (MacBooks) and Chromebooks may occasionally be offered, depending on vendor inventory
